The Intelligence Revolution: Why AI Isn’t Just Another Trend
We’ve lived through some massive shifts as a species—the Agricultural Revolution, the Industrial Revolution, and the rise of the Internet. But what we’re experiencing right now? This isn’t just another evolution of tools or tech. This is an Intelligence Revolution. And it’s happening faster than anyone expected.
The Game Has Changed
We’re not just building better machines. We’re creating systems that learn, adapt, and in some cases, outperform humans in narrow tasks. And while everyone is racing to be the next Google of AI search or build the biggest, smartest model, there’s something deeper going on.
The very foundation of our world is shifting. Jobs, education, ownership—all of it.
- Education is already in trouble. The cost of college has skyrocketed, and now, with AI, anyone can learn at their own pace. The Department of Education is slower than big business to adapt, and that gap is widening.
- Jobs are being reshaped. Most of the ones that exist today won’t look the same in ten years. Some won’t exist at all. Others haven’t been invented yet.
- Ownership in the so-called “age of abundance” is confusing. Who gets three $30,000 home robots, and who can barely afford rent? In a world of plenty, what determines who gets what?
And these questions aren’t just economic. They’re human.
Are the Big Players Missing the Point?
Most of the AI giants are focused on dominating the search space or selling AI-as-a-service subscriptions. Their models are impressive, sure. But they’re impersonal. Detached.
I don’t want a chatbot that knows everything about everyone.
I want an AI that knows me.
My family. My projects. My vision. My voice.
The Personal AI Era
That’s where this is heading. Home-based AI systems, trained on your life, your preferences, your memories. Not a subscription that serves a billion people the same way, but a companion that evolves with you.
That’s why I’m building Goose1.0.
It’s not about trying to compete with OpenAI or Google. It’s about proving that smaller, personal AI systems can be powerful, loyal, and transformative. Especially when you pair them with a memory system designed to help them actually remember what matters most.
Because let’s be honest: what good is a smart assistant that forgets your kid’s name or the project you’ve been pouring your heart into?
The Key: Memory
The secret weapon in this new age isn’t just processing power. It’s memory.
Right now, most models are smart—but forgetful. They can reason, summarize, calculate, even philosophize. But without memory, they’re starting from scratch every time you talk.
That’s what I’m changing with Goose1.0.
We’re building the librarian. The memory layer. The part of the brain that remembers you.
And if you’re like me—curious, creative, and maybe a little bit rebellious about where the world is heading—you might be thinking about building your own assistant too. Or at least upgrading your setup.
What I’m Using
If you’re thinking of starting your own AI project, here’s some of what I’m using for Goose1.0:
- Jetson AGX Orin Developer Kit – Powerful enough to run local models and lightweight enough to experiment without a server rack. Check it out on Amazon
- Samsung 980 PRO 2TB NVMe SSD – Fast, reliable storage to hold models, memories, and more. Find it on Amazon

This isn’t about selling stuff. It’s about sharing the tools that are helping me build something real.
Final Thought
The Intelligence Revolution isn’t coming. It’s already here.
The question is: Are you going to be a passive observer, or an active participant?
As for me, I’m not waiting for the age of abundance to be handed down from the top. I’m building from the ground up.
One wire. One idea. One memory at a time.
